In Nature Walking - We are situated on a footpath, easy walk to coastpath, moorland and beaches. Maps of local walks come with your accommodation. Also see the wonderful maps on iwalkcornwall; they have a great app too.
Beaches, swimming and snorkelling - West Cornwall's white sandy beaches & rich turquoise waters are all within 15 mintute's drive....4 beaches and coves are within 25 minute's walk. There's beach equipment to borrow at your accommodation. Surfing - Sennen Beach is 5 minute's drive away, with 2 wonderful surf schools and surf board hire available from April til October; Sennen Surfing Centre, and Smart Surf school. Very exciting surfing available outside those months for the more experienced! Birdwatching - Porthgwarra is a renowned stop-over destination for rare migrating birds (and ones that have been blown off-course by the gales!) Sea life- swim with seals in Pothgwarra Cove, or take a wonderful boat trip with Marine Discovery to see the wealth of sea life, including dolphins and whales around the shore here. Wild food foraging - Two excellent wild food foragers offer courses and walks nearby, see their websites; Fat Hen & Wild walks South West.....and there's lots of foraging to be had in the fields and paths around here Visiting sacred sites - West Penwith is rich in ancient history, with great examples of stone circles, fogous, quoits, holy wells, standing stones and iron age settlements.
