The Retreat (Glamping)The Retreat is a lovely secluded glamping spot in our 4 acre field with stunning countryside and sea views.
In 2026 we are having a break & will only be renting it out occasionally by private arrangement....please do contact us if you're interested. The "Retreat" is our off grid converted shipping container, which has an indoor kitchen/diner with gas stove, a king sized double bedroom, & an adjacent gas fired hot shower and compost loo. Lighting is by battery powered lights and candles. We have previously included in the rental over the summer months a 5 metre bell tent as a second bedroom/living space, with a comfortable double bed with colourful rugs and cosy bedding and a seating area, so for those months the site could accommodate upto 4.....or be wonderfully spacious for 2!! In 2026 we are not offering the bell tent, but there will be space to bring your own! There's a fire pit to cook on or while away the evenings by, as well as an indoor gas stove when the weather's not so good. There are plenty of cooking and eating utensils & hot water to wash up with; all you need for outdoor or indoor self-catering. There is a fridge for your use near where you park, only about 50 metres from the Retreat. Mobile phones can be charged from an outdoor plug, 50 metres from the tent. Please note that there is good mobile phone & 4G reception at the site, but no Wi-fi. |
